terms of use.

these terms govern your use of interviewprep — the browser extension that generates an interview prep brief from any job posting on your active tab. by installing or using interviewprep, you agree to these terms.

1. who we are

interviewprep is built and operated by voiddo (the studio behind the vøiddo brand), a small studio shipping AI-flavoured products, free dev tools, Chrome extensions and weird browser games. all queries: support@voiddo.com.

billing is handled by Paddle.com Market Limited as merchant of record. paddle issues your invoice, collects payment, handles VAT/sales tax, and processes refunds. for any billing question, paddle is your first contact; we are second.

2. what interviewprep does

interviewprep is a browser extension. when you click its icon on a tab containing a job posting and press the action button:

• the extension reads the visible text of the active tab via the browser's scripting API.
• the text is sent over HTTPS to our API.
• our AI engine parses out the role + company and generates 5 likely interview questions with STAR-format answer scaffolds plus a company research card.
• the structured response is returned to the popup and rendered.

interviewprep does not read tabs you have not clicked into. it does not run in the background. it has no host_permissions.

3. your account & license (Pro only)

the free tier requires no account and no email. your local free-quota counter is the only state we track for free users.

if you upgrade to Pro, paddle issues you a license key by email after a successful payment. enter that key in the extension settings to unlock 100 generations / month. one license = one user. you may activate it on multiple browsers belonging to you. you may not share it with others.

4. acceptable use

you agree NOT to:

• use interviewprep to scrape job boards in bulk, build derivative datasets, or train other models on the output.
• circumvent the free-tier rate limits (e.g. by reinstalling repeatedly to mint new install_ids).
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the extension code beyond what's necessary for personal use.
• resell or redistribute the prep briefs without significant added value.
• use interviewprep for any unlawful purpose or in any jurisdiction where it is restricted.

5. AI output disclaimer

the prep briefs are generated by an AI engine. they are based on the job posting on your active tab plus the AI engine's training data. we do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular interview. always cross-reference with the original job posting and the company's public materials. interviewprep is a preparation aid, not professional career counselling. it is not a guarantee of an interview outcome.

6. fees, billing, refunds

the free tier is free forever. Pro is $6.99/month or $59.99/year billed via paddle. prices include VAT/sales tax where applicable. you may cancel at any time from the paddle customer portal; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. service availability

we aim for >99.5% monthly uptime on the API but do not contractually guarantee any specific SLA. transient outages, maintenance windows, and rate-limit thresholds may cause brief unavailability. we will publish significant incidents on voiddo.com/log/.

8. intellectual property

the extension, its source code, the design, the trademarks (vøiddo, interviewprep) belong to voiddo. the prep briefs you generate are yours to use; we claim no rights over them. you may post, share, or modify them freely.

9. limitation of liability

to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, voiddo's aggregate liability arising from or relating to interviewprep is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid voiddo for interviewprep in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50. voiddo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenue. some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; if so, the broadest permitted limits apply.

10. termination

you can stop using interviewprep at any time by uninstalling the extension. we may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms (see "acceptable use"). on termination of a Pro subscription, your license key is invalidated and your data is deleted within 14 days, subject to our legal-retention obligations.

11. changes to these terms

we may update these terms; we'll update the last updated date at the top and publish the previous version in our change log. material changes (price increases, new use restrictions) trigger an email to paid users at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

12. governing law

these terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. courts of Tel Aviv–Yafo have exclusive jurisdiction. nothing in this clause limits any mandatory consumer-law rights you have in your country of residence.
